Your problem (phrase):

Lack of parental involvement in a child’s educational success.

List at least three public policy alternatives. Be sure that all of your public policy alternatives are at the same political level as your social problem. Each alternative must specify the actual government or government agency that will carry out the proposed action.

Three possible proposals for parental involvement in a child’s educational success are:

  1. Lessen the responsibility of the teacher in after school. Put more of the responsibility on the parent. ex: Have them do the homework together at once on each subject. If they have questions it will be answered but lesson is not re-taught.
  2. Mandatory that all grades from 1 to 8th have their homework signed by a parent or guardian. if the homework is not signed that homework will no count as a grade.and homework is a % of the grade. A parental awareness through the signatures. Verification of students work, class, quiz, tests. etc.

3.PTA meeting incentives food, pot luck, the child whose parent attends will get a N.U.T. card. Not in uniform today because my mom attended the meeting. Class Pizza party for the best attendance.
