Studies indicate that approximately 35% of students in our school system need more parental involvement or extra help. Ex: tutoring, one on one, reading, math. 10/13/04http//teacher.scholastic.comprofessional/future/teachers/otherways.htm and http/teacher.scholastic.comproducts/instructors/friendlypartner.htm Therefore we may infer that a lack of parental involvement is a problem in our school as well. Our committee conducted a survey among all the grades in our school and 11 teachers from our school ranging from pre K to eighth grade.
