Date: January 15, 2004  Group Members: Kevin Jackson, Jason Moore

1.      In one or two sentences, state the nature of the social problem that your group plans to study.

The problem is that students are disruptive to teachers/adults who are not their classroom/primary teacher.

2.      List at least three undesirable social conditions that result from this problem:

a) Students will not do assigned work and at the same time are disruptive to prep/substitute teachers.

b) During lunch periods students run the halls, not following the instructions of school aides which leads to an unsafe school environment.

c) Teachers/adults are disillusioned and frustrated with futile attempts of trying to get cooperation leading to an uncaring, nonchalant, hands-off attitude.

3.      Write a short phrase that summarizes the social problem and its location (examples: students reading below grade level at P.S. 299; vandalism at Jones Middle School; cheating in Mr. Green’s math class)

Disruptive students to teachers and non-teaching personnel at C.S. 133.
