Students will have chosen their three preferred topics and submitted
them to Project LEGAL.
Students in a participating classroom will be given
their debate topic and the
email address of the class they will be debating.
Weeks 3&4
Students at each school will research the issue.
Week 5
Students will conduct the debate with their partner class. Teachers
will poll the classes.
Week 6
Students will reverse positions and research the issue.
Week 7
Conduct another debate. Teachers will poll the classes.
Week 8
Students will share with their partner
class what they learned during the debate. The optional peer-evaluation
will take place during this week as well.
